Those that know me will attest to the fact that I am cursed with the insatiable desire for perfectionism.
I’ve always been a perfectionist. It’s obsessive, I know. But it’s just who I am.
I will read and re-write every blog post I publicize almost ten times over. I will spend hours kerning, re-sizing and changing the typeface on any typography-related project. I will pull all-nighters perfecting colours on any illustration I create. I will spend weeks measuring, marking and sewing every detail of every stitch line, seam and accent on every handbag I design. I will trash any project I’m ever unhappy with and start over until I get it right. And I know I will never stop doing this.
But I guess perfectionism pays off.
Tom Ford is a perfectionist, and look where it got him. By the age of 30, he was Design Director for Gucci. That counts for much, right?
